Tremont trip

We just got back from a really great weekend trip! We started out Friday, spent the night at Mark and Laura's in Joliet. It was so great to see them again! The boys had a ball with the wii - and Sammy helped Laura stir the chocolate for our fondue desert - yummy. It was so cute!
Then, we left the "Lindberg Bed and Breakfast" and headed for Tremont. We got to meet Jim and Rachel Sauder, who I've been e-mailing with for a good year about Russian adoption - they've got four from there! They have a pool, and a really kid-friendly house with lots of fun things to do. We all had a blast - it went by too fast. Diana was so funny in the pool. She was wiggling and laughing and blowing bubbles! She really hit it off with another Laura - Jim and Rachel's daughter.

All the kids got along so well, and the adults had fun talking about our experiences. It was really great! I'm sure we'll be having the Sauders come our way some day, but I know our house won't be nearly as much fun as theirs is! Thanks, Jim, Rachel, Laura, Logan, Luke and Lane - for a great weekend!

But, it wasn't over there! On the way home, we wanted to stop by Aunt Sandy's grave. We went to Uncle Larry's home first. He has a very interesting collection of animals. There's even a miniature brahma cow!

Here's my favorite photo of the cow:

Isn't she cute?? =O He also has some neat chickens, including a breed from France that's popular for the chocolate brown eggs they lay. The kids just loved the chickens, especially the rooster. Thanks for letting us drop in on you, Uncle Larry!
