Those of you who have been around us the past couple weeks will appreciate this - Diana voluntarily told me TWO times today that she needed to go potty!
Yay! This is a breakthrough!!! She's been fine telling daddy, but not me. She would hold it all day, then announce to Otto when he walked through the door that she needed to go potty. So
aggravating! We couldn't figure out why,
except that she's always been
preferential to daddy - I'm the one who's around all day to discipline, and daddy comes home for fun time. FINALLY - she's telling me, during the day. She's also been dry in the morning for going on two weeks, so I consider that accomplished. Potty training seems to be one of the most frustrating times in young childhood - for parent and child. I'm glad we seem to be almost through it!
I'm so glad for you! I'm not looking forward to training Ethan. Maybe if I just wait long enough he'll eventually train himself...:)
ReplyDeleteVery good! When are you going to post pictrs of Ludington?! k
ReplyDeleteYay!! So what's you secret???? Jenna is definitely backtracking in the potty department...we've tried candy, gum, suckers, bribe upon bribe and she prefers her diaper!!!! :( Glad you're having more sucess at your house!! : )

I'm sorry I don't have a secret to share! I just put her in panties (I'm still getting used to saying that!) and didn't look back, for better or worse. She fought it too. Then one morning she apparently had it in her head that diapers were not coming back. She said, no more diapers, diapers bye-bye. And after that, we were almost accident free. Little stinker! =)
