Vacation Run #1

Let's see. Today I went on a two mile hike. Then I rode my bike pulling my 9 yo daughter in a bike trailer.... ALONG THE BEACH (4 miles total - half mile - ish in the sand).

Then we had a big dinner. Haystacks. (Tortilla Chips, rice, taco meat, shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, olives, salsa, taco sauce, & sour cream)

Then I went running. Started on a road, switch to a path, then to a trail with grass as high as my thighs, and then back to road.

It was a tough run. My muscles were soar when I started running. While my time was slow I was surprised I was able to pull off a 12 min mile ave.

This is why running on vacation is a pain. I suppose I should have planned better and ran early in the morning, but with camping I like to take a shower before bed to keep the camper clean.

I guess you have to weigh your options and decide what is most important to you.
