Well, kids are back in school, so now I have a little more "free" time to do things like.... laundry, dishes, gardening, canning, running errands, ironing, cleaning, cooking. Hmm, guess I don't really have anything different going on. But it is nice to have some peace and quiet (for a couple hours - kindergarten just doesn't last long enough - really?? 2 1/2 hours is all I get??). All the things that I kept putting off, thinking - "I'll get that done when the kids are back in school" are now looming over me. I have to remind myself to pace myself - it doesn't all have to be done NOW!!! Oh, but it will feel so good to have a clean house and no mountain of ironing. sigh. All in good time; like, just before next summer break. LOL!
But, at least I'm back on the blog! Yay! Hello, everyone! It will be so nice to catch up with all my bloggy friends! I'll be posting various things from our summer, so check back often.
Kenneth enjoyed entering a project in 4-H this summer. It's his first summer in the "real" 4-H, and he was pretty excited! He chose photography, and I think he did an awesome job! The judges must have thought so too, as he got an "Honors" ribbon. Very cool!!
Sammy was able to participate in the "Exploring 4-H" which is the pre-4-H. He did a model airplane, and we are so proud of him, because he put it together totally by himself! Way to go! He was awarded with a ribbon as well, as all Explorers are, but he was pretty pleased with it. =)
