Otto's dad and mom have a condo in Ludington, MI, where we like to go as often as we can. It's what I think of as my "happy place," because it's so peaceful and relaxing and fun.
This year, we only made it there once, over Labor Day weekend. I wanted to soak up as much as I could, so I took the kids up a couple days before. The weather was 100% PERFECT!! Sunny, pleasantly warm, gentle breeze....heaven!
The condo is right on the channel that goes into Ludington, so watching the boats is a popular pass-time. 
There's a lovely private beach just down the sidewalk; we spent hours there every day.
David and Jenna and their girls joined us. We had so much fun! We did all the usual stuff - made "pigs" of ourselves at House of Flavors, beach, pool, and of course our favorite, "a whole lotta nothin'!" =)
It was so hard to leave!

I like to think Hilton Head Island SC, but I wish it was closer to IN. =)

Colorado, hands down! And I can say that confidently having been many other places in the world:)
ReplyDeleteOn the Bay fishing with Dale....but Ludington takes a close 2nd. There is something very soothing about being near water. Glad you had a great time and good weather!!:)
