Safe harbor

This is one of my favorite photos. I love it because Diana looks so at ease with her Daddy. She must feel pretty safe - like I do - surrounded by Otto's arms! =) We were prepared for her to maybe being scared of Otto, but it turned out to be the opposite! She LOVES her daddy already. I could be holding her, and Otto would walk by, and out her little arms would go! I think he was pretty happy to have it turn out that way. Note her bear ("meesha" in Russian). We brought that for her. I took a photo album filled with pictures of us, our house, the boys, grandparents, cousins, etc. When I was taking the pictures of the house, I put her bear in them. It took her a moment to make the connection to the bear we'd given her, but then she laughed so hard! Made me so glad I'd done that!
