The Magic of Disney

Finally! I have all my pressing projects caught up, and have a little time to relax in our super-comfy recliner with my computer. Ahhh... Time to get all you bloggy friends updated with our lives! So, grab a cup of your favorite beverage (no soda for me - it's not soda day today) =( and get ready for a nice, long read. =)

Of course, the biggest thing in our lives recently was our trip to Disney World! Woohoo! SOO much fun!! We all had a blast! We were there for 4 days, with a day in between that we went to Cape Canaveral (Kennedy Space Center and beach) - it was totally exhausting, but so much fun! Otto's dad and mom were with us the whole time, which was so terrific! We passed kids back and forth on the drives, and they could do stuff with Diana when we went with the boys on rides she couldn't go on. I'm sure they had a lot of resting up to do when they got back! =)

It's really hard to know where to start. I guess I'll just give a short review of each day, and throw a few great memories in there as they come to me. First we had to get there, of course; which meant a two day drive. We stopped in to see Uncle John and the girls on the way.
They have a fun little menagerie of pets which the kids just loved - including the fluffiest bunny you will ever see!! I'm including a picture, in the spirit of spring: (her name is Slippers - isn't that cute!?!)

So, day one of our adventure at Disney was at Epcot. Kids were really impressed with the big ball. Still need to find out what on earth the name means (anyone know?). Great place to start, because it's not such an overwhelmingly huge park. But, we still didn't get through half of it!! Our favorite there was probably the "Turtle Talk with Crush" (from Finding Nemo). A definite in the "must see" list from us! Very funny!! He even talked with Kenneth!

What's a trip to Disney without the ears?? =) When we first got to the park, we got a handicap pass for Diana's stroller that said it was being used as a wheelchair. That little sticker came with big perks! At many of the attractions, we were shunted through a different route, which sent us right to the front of the line! Woohoo! =D
Here's a "must have" for a trip to Disney - a set of grandparents! =D It was such a blessing to be with them, and they were a big help!

Had dinner that night there at the "Princess" character dinner. Diana was floating in the clouds! She totally believed the whole princess thing, and was just beaming all through dinner. She could barely eat anything because of whipping around, looking at the princesses walking around, greeting them when they came with a big giggly grin! It was priceless!
Diana and her favorite princess - Cinderella.

The boys finally got brave enough to stand up there with the princess! Hehe! =)

A couple of the Princesses gave her a kiss on her cheeks with lipstick that left a "kiss" mark, and she was so tickled! LOL!! It was so funny to see her in her element, soaking it all up! Whenever we were somewhere "boy-ish" after that she would start this soft little whisper/whine that was something like "can't we get out of this stupid place and get back to Cinderella?" =)

Okay, so that's pretty much it for Day 1 of the Disney Saga! Hopefully Day 2 won't take so long to get posted! =}
