Way to Donate

Mom and Dad keep saying they are fine; don't worry about them; just pray for the people of Haiti. PAP was the place to go in Haiti when you had no where else to go. It's where the entire country's systems of government were located. Almost everyone in Haiti has family in Port, so everyone is frightened.

This note arrived this morning:

Donations for relief can be sent through local AC churches or to the WR Treasurer. Designate "Haiti Earthquake Disaster Relief."

    Hi DeAnn: Good news that your parents are O.K. Was looking at the map and even if they send a Charter plane over there, the people would have to take a road either through or to the side of PAP. So we really need to be praying that if the charter flight goes through that they can get to the air field for the flight home. Thanks for the update on where to sent relief monies to. I have been watching your blog very close and thanks for being so faithful with your information. Know that we luv ya all much. Bob and Arlene

    There is a small airstrip in Cayes, so a chartered flight wouldn't necessarily have to go to Port. The problem is that the Dominican Republic is another country, so a flight from Cayes to the DR would be "international" and subject to much red tape. ={ So frustrating!!
