Mom said one multi-story building in Les Cayes collapsed, but not much else was damaged. It's really amazing, since the construction there is so basic! You can be sure, however, that there was plenty of damage in the small, shanty homes that most of the country lives in. These houses are made with mud and sticks - not meant to hold up to an earthquake of any magnitude! Let's keep praying that God will send his angels to protect the people of Haiti, and use it to bring them to Him.

She also said that there were several aftershocks felt through the evening, late into the night, but nothing significant anymore.
