The day was both good and tough, encouraging and discouraging. Having information and getting informed is good. Being reminded of the process ahead of us was discouraging. We knew what we were getting into before we adopted her, but it was so easy to put it off this long.
The end goal is for Diana to be able to care for her basic functions of life. Getting on/off the toilet, dressing herself, feeding herself... These are my end goals. There is plenty of hope that she will be able to do these.
