Fun (tiring) Day

Today we went to one of the boys' favorite places - Pottery Shmottery! It was a lot of fun! I probably shouldn't have tried to make something of my own, what with keeping elbows out of paint, and fetching things. Thankfully, the boys could really do most of it this time - getting their paint and brushes - and they actually painted for quite a while. Diana had fun, too, but she needed a little more encouragement to keep going.
Kenneth did this darling little inchworm.

Sammy did this not-so-ferocious looking dinosaur. I was impressed with how well he did. Usually he's had enough after not very long, but today he kept at it, and added some details that surprised me with the thought they took.

I started Diana's painting career with something basic - a plate. I put a quick background coat of white on it, then she had fun swiping her brushes around. I thought the sponging looked really cute on the plate, but by the time she was done, I think the effect was pretty much gone! =) I gave her two shades of pink, two purples, a soft yellow and a light green. I think it'll be pretty - but we'll see.

I pick them up next Friday, so I'll post pictures of the finished product then.

  1. DeAnn: It is amazing what the boys and Diana are doing. The boys were really into it. I love the way you keep working with Diana because one of these days she will be doing everything with endurance. I love to see the progress she is making. Luv ya all. Arlene
