A farewell to a favorite...

Well if you haven't heard by now, Metro Media Restaurant Group filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy protection this week. Chapter 7 is when the company lets a 3rd party sell off all its assets in order to pay creditors. They expect there to be nothing left according to news reports. It may not be a big deal in a larger town like Indianapolis, but here in the South Bend area it was one of the few places one could go for a nice steak dinner. Unfortunately now all we have left now are places that are way more expensive or have really bad ambiance. For example, Texas Road House. They have great food, but I really don't need the music so loud and I do not need the waitresses to put on a little show in order for me to enjoy my meal. At least there is a Longhorn Steakhouse in Portage, that is only about an hour away... and it is next to a Bass Pro Shop... but what on earth do I do with the $90 in gift cards I have for Steak & Ale?
