Adjusting to Life

It has been a tremendous change for Diana. She seems to be adjusting really well. She sleeps in her own bed without any fuss. We did some errands today and took the boys bowling. Diana even enjoyed watching us and cheered us on. She definitely has some attitude. After that we went and had some passport photos done of Diana at Walgreen's. We needed one for sending in to the Russian Consulate in Washington, D.C. for registration and some for obtaining a US Passport. I thought we were done with paperwork... and now it seems like we are just rolling up our sleeves. =-) Anyhow, Here is a picture of Diana from yesterday night. Mom Beebe dropped off beef stroganoff for dinner and gave this doll as a gift to Diana. We decided that no little girl could have too many dolls, it would be like Kenneth having too many lights or Sammy having too many trucks. Diana took to the doll right away. At dinner Diana was able to use a spoon to feed herself the stroganoff and rice. She ate every bite we put on her plate and Percy enjoyed the few pieces of rice that made it to the floor...

  3. Otto & DeAnn. So glad Dianna is here. She is adorable. Mom (Arlene) kept me posted this whole time and now I have your blog to watch your family grow. I love blogs. My prayers are with you, Otto the boys and Dianna as you adjust. Here in Indianapolis in our community Home Group we have a couple that adopted a brother and sister, with some challenges, from Russia - it will be one year the end of October and they are doing very well. Much love Martha Kaehr Hatfield
