"Kindred Spirits"

Many of you know the phrase kindred spirits from the Anne of Greene Gables books/movies. The lady sitting behind Diana here in the picture is one such person for DeAnn and I. Her name is Olga and she is Diana's God Mother. Olga was volunteering at the orphanage and had taken special interest in Diana's development. The whole staff at the orphanage also took interest into Diana's physical and emotional development and we owe them many thanks for all the hard work they have done. You can sure see the results of their care in Diana. They spent many hours massaging and exercising muscles so that she could learn to pinch at first and then eventually was able to sit up like you see here. We went out to dinner one night with Olga and her husband and had a wonderful evening. Though communication wasn't easy, we found them to be kindred spirits and hope they keep in contact with us in the future. It just re-affirms our belief that God has special interest in this bright little girl and we look forward to the opportunity to be her "mama" and "papa".
