call from HIH

I got a call today from our agency, Hand in Hand. She was giving us an update. She said the Russian coordinator expected to have all the paperwork by this Friday. Some of it was updating things with their new accreditation info, and is coming from the State Department. Once they have it, they'll send our "Invitation" to come to Russia! She said we could travel in as little as a week after we get that!!! =O I'm not sure how long it will take to get the "invitation" processed, but it looks pretty imminent! Pretty exciting, and scary at the same time!

She also said we could do it in two shorter trips, where we do the match, come home, then travel back about two-three weeks later for court, then the 10 day waiting period (she said the courts in our area haven't been waiving that) =( OR we could do one LONG trip, where we stay the whole time from start to finish, and it could be a month-long thing. No thanks! Even without kids back home, that's a really long time to be playing tourist. I would probably enjoy it if we went to other places, like France, England, Switzerland, Spain.... The cost of hotels and meals would probably run more than the extra flight!

The other nice thing about two trips is that I will be more prepared with regards to Diana's wardrobe when we go to get her. Her feet kind of have me wondering, with the curvature. So, at least I'll be able to see her feet, and the rest of her =) and be well prepared the next trip.

Time to get back to annoying the boys by playing my Russian language CD all the time! =)
